One month to go!

Work on the Re-imagined Central Park revitalization project is entering the home stretch and we can't wait to see you at the grand re-opening celebration in August (stay tuned for details)! Here are the highlights from June and July:

  • Poured and finished concrete on the skate park plaza, playground and shade structure area, planting beds, and sidewalk areas
  • Installed playground equipment including components with accessible features
  • Installed turf within the pump track area
  • Built features and graded the bike skills area

Here is what's happening in August:

  • Pouring additional concrete for the skate park plaza
  • Installing soft landscaping including benches, picnic tables, guard rails, and tree grates
  • Planting trees and plants
  • Installing rubber surfacing for the second playground area
  • Installing the shade structure

Reminder: The fenced off area at Central Park is an active construction site. Video surveillance is in use and public access is prohibited at all times.
