Concrete is flowing as skate bowl and pump track take shape

A major milestone on site this week as concrete installation began on the future wheeled sports park and skate park.

Mayor Jeff Acker and members of City Council stopped by to check on the progress as crews sprayed shotcrete (a method of applying concrete projected at high velocity to a vertical or overhead surface) to begin forming the skate park bowl and wheeled sports park.

Work will continue until the snow flies, then the site will be winterized and construction paused until next spring.
