2023 City Center Watermain Rehabilitation

This work is to replace the existing watermain within Golden Spike Road/Calahoo Road, from south of the CN Rail to Weston Drive.

• Start Date: May 15^th
• Completion Date: Mid-August
• Traffic disruptions: At different locations, throughout the duration of the project some sections of Golden Spike Road/Calahoo Road northbound will be closed.

Atco Gas Project – Diamond Avenue

• Diamond Avenue from Madison Crescent to Schram Street; The work is to install a new gas main to reinforce service in the Industrial area. Most of the work will be done by directional drilling, but there will be some locations where excavation is required.
  • Start Date: May 11, 2023
  • Completion Date: Mid-August.

• Traffic Disruptions:
• The north side of the intersection of Diamond Avenue and Madison Crescent will be temporarily closed to accommodate the construction. Traffic will be able to move east/west on Diamond Avenue throughout construction, with some expected delays and reduced speeds.

2023 Surface Improvement Program

• Bus Pads: work to construct bus pads will begin within the next 2 weeks with minimal traffic disruption.
  • Start Date: within the next 2 weeks.
  • Completion Date: will be completed in 10 to 14 days.
• Jespersen Avenue; concrete repairs and full depth pulverizing/paving at Jespersen Avenue from King Street to Queen Street.
  • Start Date: June 12^th
  • Completion Date: July 24^th
• Creekside Way; concrete repairs and full depth pulverizing/paving.
  • Start Date: July 24^th
  • Completion Date: August 7^th
• Stoneshire Manor; concrete repairs and full depth pulverizing/paving.
  • Start Date: July 24^th
  • Completion Date: end of August

2023 Deer Park Surface Rehabilitation

This project will include concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk removal and replacement, as well as milling and paving of roads. This site will be updated to specify which sections are being worked on and when.

• Start Date: week of July 3^rd
• Completion Date: end of August
• Traffic Disruptions: Appropriate traffic accommodations will be put in place including barricades, signs and flag person where required.

2023 Highway 16A Resurfacing

This project will include milling and paving at the locations stated below: Eastbound from Jennifer Heil Way to Nelson Drive.

• Hwy 16A eastbound from Jennifer Heil Way to Nelson Drive.
• Hwy 16A eastbound from Century Road to the east City limit, including Hwy 16A/Century Road intersection.

• Start Date: week of July 3^rd
• Completion Date: week of July 17^th
• Traffic Disruptions: Work will be completed at night. During the day, traffic will be split on the westbound lanes. Appropriate traffic accommodations will be put in place including barricades, signs and flag person as required.

2023 Pioneer Road Top Lift Asphalt Construction

This project prefilling and paving of the locations below. Work will be completed at night and will immediately follow the work being done on Highway 16A. During the day, traffic will be accommodated and appropriate signage. barricades and flag persons will be initiated as required.

• Pioneer Road from Grove Drive to Hwy 16A (approximately 180m west of the intersection roundabout)

• Start Date: immediately following work on Hwy 16A, week of July 17^th

• Traffic Disruptions: During construction, traffic will be split on the westbound lanes. Appropriate traffic accommodations will be put in place including barricades, signs and flag persons as required.
