The City is developing a Community Standards Bylaw (CSB), a tool for ensuring a safe, healthy and inviting community. The CSB includes topics related to public behaviour, property maintenance, neighbour relations, noise control and excessive odours.

Survey

A survey was conducted between May 15 and July 9, 2023. The survey is now closed. More than 1,200 responses were collected, and these responses will help us develop a bylaw that reflects the needs and values of our community.

Next Steps

The Community Standards Bylaw (CSB) passed first and second readings during the Council meeting on April 22, 2024.

The third reading of the CSB will occur at the May 27, 2024 Council meeting. If approved, the CSB will be effective on July 1, 2024.
