What do you think? Spruce Grove's Climate Change Action Plan

After a year of work, we are almost ready to present a proposed Climate Change Action Plan to the City of Spruce Grove City Council. Before we do that, we want to know – what do you think of this proposed plan?

In this one-hour online webinar and discussion, you will hear a summary of the recommendations that will be made to City Council, and have a chance to tell us what you think of what you hear.

At the beginning of the event, you will learn about the recommendations in this proposal. These recommendations have been designed to, over the next 12 years, 1) help Spruce Grove to protect itself to long term expected changes to local weather patterns, and 2) help the city to reduce our overall energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.

After this presentation, you will have an opportunity to let us know what you think about these ideas in small groups. A summary of the ideas from you and other people who attend will be included as part of the upcoming presentation to City Council. This is an opportunity for your ideas to be heard by City Council as they decide on the final design of this plan.

There are three times that you can hear about this plan:

1. Noon-1 pm on Tuesday January 18, 2022
2. 7-8 pm on Tuesday January 18, 2022
3. Noon-1 pm on Wednesday January 19, 2022
