City Centre streets will re-open on November 25

City Centre streets that have been temporarily closed due to construction work this year will re-open on Friday, November 25.

Streets and sidewalks will be open; however, some work will still be underway that may result in some minor disruptions, such as the temporary closure of a parking space.

As well, there will be a slight change to parking on the north side of Main Street between McLeod Avenue and Church Road. In order to accommodate a temporary sidewalk in the area, the parking along that stretch of Main Street will need to be parallel parking instead of angle parking over the winter months.

There will also be some temporary road closures on Main Street, south of McLeod Avenue, on the mornings of November 29, December 1, December 5 and December 12 due to construction work at a business in the area. Please watch for signage and note that these dates are subject to change.

Thank you to the community and City Centre businesses for their cooperation this year. This construction work is part of the streetscape revitalization project, which is focused on revitalizing the area and making the City Centre a place where people of all ages come to shop, dine, work, live, socialize, interact and participate in a variety of community, arts and cultural experiences.
